Fenwick Is Shortlisted for Americas Women in Business Law Awards

Partners Hess, Morrow, Neumann and Webb Recognized as Leading Practitioners by Euromoney

Mountain View, CA – Fenwick & West announced that the firm and several partners have been shortlisted for Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Americas Women in Business Law Awards. The awards spotlight the best lawyers in respective practice areas and recognize firms for several initiatives, including diversity, innovation and pro bono work.

Cindy Hess

Euromoney honored Cindy Hess, Fenwick’s startup and venture capital co-chair, on the shortlist for best technology lawyer. The most innovative emerging and established tech companies look to Hess for their corporate transactional matters, from formation and venture capital financing to mergers, acquisitions and public offerings. She has been honored as one of the top 10 most trusted corporate counselors by The Recorder on its Trusted Advisors list and named among California’s top women lawyers by the Daily Journal.

Charlene Morrow

Litigation partner Charlene Morrow was shortlisted among the best patent lawyers. With a nationwide trial practice, she is sought after by IT ​and life sciences companies for her patent litigation and patent licensing experience. Morrow handles a full range of issues for clients, including resolving antitrust, contract, copyright, standards claims, trade dress, trademark and trade secrets disputes.

Larissa Neumann

Euromoney named tax partner Larissa Neumann to the shortlists for best in tax dispute resolution and best in transfer pricing. Her keen analytical skills and focus on providing practical solutions have earned her a reputation as a leading tax advisor for U.S. tax planning and tax controversy with an emphasis on international transactions. In 2017, Neumann was named the top woman lawyer for transfer pricing matters worldwide at Euromoney’s Women in Business Law Awards, and also honored by Silicon Valley Business Journal on its list of Women of Influence.

Karen Webb

Trademark partner Karen Webb was recognized on the shortlist for best in trademarks. Webb counsels established and startup companies on brand strategy and the protection of brand assets, including brand creation, selection, protection, expansion and enforcement. She has extensive experience in the social media and internet space. In 2017, Webb was honored as one of The Recorder’s Women Leaders in Tech Law and the Silicon Valley Business Journal as a top 40 leader under age 40 in Silicon Valley.
