Overview

Antonia Sequeira focuses her practice on building patent portfolios and developing patent strategies across various technologies. Her technology focus includes medical and biotechnology devices, digital health/health IT, laboratory automation, genomics, diagnostics, VR/AR, artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous vehicles, social networking, online advertising and other software or health technologies. In addition to advising on strategic patent portfolio development and managing international patent portfolios, Antonia has years of experience in intellectual property litigation, conducting IP due diligence for M&A and financing transactions and post grant proceedings.

Having founded various startup companies in the past, Antonia has experience with the types of issues that face startup companies from the company perspective. She also has prior industry experience in hospitals and a clinical laboratory, and was a researcher on the Drosophila Genome Project at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
