Partners Dave Bell and Gordy Davidson will be speaking at Stanford’s Directors’ College on June 27th and June 28th.

Directors' College is the nation’s premier executive education program for directors and C-level executives of publicly traded companies. The conference addresses a broad range of issues that confront modern boards, including the board’s role in setting business strategy, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), CEO succession, techniques for mitigating legal liability, challenges posed by activist investors, boardroom dynamics, and contemporary challenges.

  • Dave Bell will be a panelist on the CEO Succession Planning and Execution panel on June 27 at 1:55 pm PT, which will explore the practical strategies for succession planning and execution, including practices for growing internal CEO succession candidates, the importance of focusing on the development of the full executive team, the merits of giving preference to internal candidates over outside hires, and related issues, and the ongoing efforts needed to help ensure the success of the newly placed CEO.
  • Gordy Davidson will be a panelist on Board Refreshment, Boardroom Culture, and Director Performance panel on June 28 at 11:35 am PT, which will focus on successful strategies for ensuring that companies are building and developing the best performing board of directors given a company’s current and projected needs, including how individual directors can maximize their own contributions in the boardroom.
