Fenwick & West LLP represented RelayRides, a peer-to-peer car rental marketplace with vehicles in over 2,300 cities nationally, in its recently announced $25 million financing. The round was led by Canaan Partners, with previous investors August Capital, Google Ventures and Shasta Ventures participating. As part of the financing, Deepak Kamra, general partner at Canaan, will join RelayRides' board of directors.
With the new funding, the company plans to undertake a number of initiatives, most notably raise brand awareness of its platform and peer-to-peer car sharing in general. More information about RelayRides $25M financing can be obtained from the company’s announcement.
