Fenwick & West represented Back to the Roots, a sustainable food and indoor garden kits startup, in its exclusive licensing agreement with Nature’s Path Foods, a company whose focus is on organic breakfast foods. Under the agreement, the companies plan to use Nature Path’s organic ingredient supply chain and distribution system to bring Back to the Roots’ organic, four-ingredients-or-less cereals to school cafeterias across the United States. Nature’s Path plans to integrate the Back to the Roots cereal line into its portfolio starting in September and will manage its supply chain, manufacturing and distribution.
