Fenwick & West represented Kinnevik AB, an entrepreneurial, digital industry focused investment company based in Sweden, in leading a $36 million Series B investment in CarePortal, Inc., developer of a patient financial management platform for hospitals, health systems and independent medical groups. Participants in the round included existing investors Founders Fund and Thrive Capital, as well as Lakestar, Sound Ventures, Kevin Systrom of Instagram and Nat Turner of Flatiron Health.
With the new round of funding, CarePortal will further invest in the next generation of its innovative platform as well as build out its existing team. More information regarding Kinnevik’s participation in CarePortal’s $36 million Series B financing can be obtained from the company announcement.
