Could the Midterms Bring a ‘Tech Oversight Blitz’? Anna Uhls Talks with Politico

Regardless of how the 2026 midterms play out, tech companies are entering an unprecedented congressional oversight environment, investigations counsel Anna Uhls recently told Politico Influence.

“A Democratic House would almost certainly use the oversight tools aggressively, but I think the more important trend, especially for tech companies, is bipartisan concern around affordability for the next two years,” Uhls told Politico.

“Whether the issue is AI, data centers, pricing practices, other consumer protection or other labor impacts, the common question is becoming who is benefiting, who is bearing the costs and are consumers ending up worse off?”
