FLEX by Fenwick was featured in an article by The American Lawyer discussing the growing market for alternate legal service providers (ALSPs).
Created by Fenwick in 2010, FLEX provides flexible and cost-effective solutions for interim, in-house legal needs to high-growth companies. FLEX clients include some of the most innovative and disruptive venture-backed startups, as well as public companies, spanning industries such as social media, fintech, biotech, ecommerce, gaming, virtual reality, robotics, digital media, software, hardware and semiconductors.
Fenwick technology transactions partner Ralph Pais founded FLEX by Fenwick in 2010 as a response to client demand for a high-quality option for day-to-day legal needs with predictable billing. Pais identified this need particularly among early-stage clients who were moving into later stages of growth.
“If we could find a solution to address their needs, we might be adding a value-added service,” Pais told The American Lawyer, noting that as FLEX built a brand, larger companies also started expressing interest.
