Fenwick intellectual property partner Stuart Meyer has been named one of the top 20 artificial intelligence lawyers by the Daily Journal.
The publication highlighted Meyer’s co-authorship of a new ITechLaw book, Responsible AI: A Global Policy Framework, which provides an in-depth review and proposes guidelines to encourage the responsible development, deployment and use of artificial intelligence.
The book represents a year-long collaboration between Meyer and a multi-disciplinary team of technology law professionals, researchers and industry representatives from 16 countries.
Meyer counsels technology clients—including artificial intelligence companies and other companies innovating in the AI space—on intellectual property matters, including technology-based litigation, performing strategic intellectual property planning and intellectual property audits for technology companies, and securing patent, copyright and other intellectual property rights.
His recent work for AI companies includes handling IP-related matters for autonomous vehicle technology, autonomous agricultural machinery, LIDAR/LADAR technology and more.
Co-chair of Fenwick’s patent post-grant proceedings practice, Meyer is also lead editor of Fenwick’s quarterly Intellectual Property Bulletin and Bilski Blog, which provides analysis and commentary on patent eligibility and strategy. He also regularly earns recognition as a top intellectual property lawyer from publications including Chambers USA, IAM Patent 1000 and IAM Strategy 300.
