Mountain View, CA (May 5, 2017) – Fenwick & West is pleased to announce that the firm’s lawyers have once again been recognized as Outstanding Volunteers at the Justice & Diversity Center’s annual Outstanding Volunteer Celebration. Partners Larissa Neumann and Lynn Pasahow, of counsel Christine Redfield, and associates Taimur Case, Sheeva Ghassemi-Vanni, Amir Hassanabadi, Jeremy Kazzaz, Nam Kim and Kelly Yang earned the honor for their volunteer services in 2016.
The Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco works to bring greater diversity to the legal profession through educational programs and other diversity efforts. The Outstanding Volunteer awards recognize the top 15 percent of JDC’s volunteers. Last year, eight Fenwick lawyers earned the JDC volunteer award.
Through the JDC, volunteers have offered legal representation and social services to more than 9,000 low-income and homeless clients each year with support from volunteer lawyers, law students, social workers and other professionals. Volunteers also provided counseling, coaching and mentoring to more than 700 students to increase diversity in the legal profession.
The JDC celebrated the volunteers at its Outstanding Volunteer Celebration on March 21, 2017 with guest of honor Chief Justice of California Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye.
