Mountain View, CA (June 2, 2017)— Fenwick & West is pleased to announce that the firm has been honored for its pro bono work by the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo. The organization gives the award each year to recognize the law firm whose commitment to Legal Aid is steeped in a commitment to justice for the children, families and seniors in San Mateo County.
Over the past year, Fenwick lawyers have helped survivors of domestic violence obtain permanent restraining orders against their abusers, advised tenants being evicted at housing clinics, counseled immigrants at Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) clinics and advised Legal Aid on cybersecurity issues.
The firm’s lawyers, patent agents and engineers have also volunteered at citizenship and naturalization clinics throughout the Bay Area and advised seniors at the monthly “Share of Cost” clinics held at Legal Aid’s Health Consumer Center.

Volunteers from Fenwick provided over 700 hours of legal assistance to vulnerable San Mateo County residents in 2016.
