Fenwick technology transactions partner Vejay Lalla was recently listed as one of the top attorneys working with social media influencers by Business Insider. The list recognizes 13 leading attorneys and law firms who focus on influencers and digital creators.
Business Insider noted Lalla’s work on the launch of Animal Capital, a venture capital firm cofounded by TikTok influencers Josh Richards, Griffin Johnson and Noah Beck. Lalla manages the talent engagement aspect of Fenwick’s work in the industry, including representing Arielle Charnas and her brand Something Navy on talent and endorsement deals and on building Something Navy's curated marketplace.
"You are seeing this trend with influencers not only farming out their name and likeness rights in traditional entertainment deals, but becoming investors or advisors at companies,” Lalla told Business Insider.
Lalla helps his clients navigate the convergence of technology, advertising, media, e-commerce and entertainment, and advises on the potential impact for his clients from a commercial, intellectual property, regulatory and privacy standpoint. In addition to his work with digital creators, Lalla represents venture-backed companies across numerous industries, including media-tech, marketing-tech, blockchain, fintech, proptech, augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence and machine learning, gaming, fashion, retail, beauty and consumer product companies through their entire lifecycle.
