Two Fenwick Partners Named Top 100 Most Influential Attorneys by Leading Legal Newspaper

Mountain View, CA (September 12, 2012)– The Daily Journal recognized partners Gordon Davidson and Greg Roussel in its list of the Top 100 Lawyers in California. The list recognizes California-based attorneys involved in cases that had a broad legal or industrial impact over the past 18 months.

Fenwick chairman, Gordon Davidson, is described as “a Silicon Valley legend” and recognized for his recent work, along with Jeffrey Vetter, leading Facebook’s historic IPO in May. In the past year alone, he brought five companies public, most recently ServiceNow, and represented SuccessFactors in their $3.4 billion acquisition by SAP.

Greg Roussel, a partner in the firm’s Corporate group, is noted for his work as lead mergers and acquisitions counsel for Facebook and for his work representing Bytemobile in their June acquisition by Citrix. Discussing rapid expansion in the mobile device market, he commented, "every technology company is working on a mobile strategy and is racing toward the ability to deliver – whether it's networking or storage or content – to people wherever they are, on whatever device they have.”

Over the past 15 years, the ‘Top 100 Lawyers in California’ list has grown in stature. Initially an amalgam of California-based attorneys impacting the practice of law on a national scale, the honor is now a much anticipated report on attorneys in the state who are changing the landscape of legal discourse. Researched by the Daily Journal’s editorial staff, the process takes into account nominations from attorneys, judges and in-house counsel.
