Adine represents companies in the artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), Software as a Service, consumer technology, and media spaces on a variety of technology transactions and IP matters.

She advises clients on the technology and IP aspects of mergers and acquisitions, financings, minority investments, and capital markets offerings. Adine also works on all aspects of commercial agreements and complex licensing and strategic collaboration arrangements, as well as product counseling. In particular, Adine has played a significant role in supporting companies through the various stages of the AI development lifecycle, including:

  • AI model and tool innovation: She has provided guidance to companies who create and distribute cutting-edge AI models and tools.
  • Data hygiene: She has helped companies map their various data sources and navigate the associated inbound license rights and negotiate new agreements.
  • AI policy development: She has helped companies formulate comprehensive AI policies and strategies to help ensure that their deployment and usage align with organizational goals, risk tolerances, and regulatory requirements.
  • AI governance frameworks: She has assisted organizations in the construction of robust AI governance frameworks, focusing on accountability and risk management in AI development and application.
  • AI investments and acquisitions: She has advised on AI-driven M&A transactions and investments.

Adine is a strong presence in the AI legal community, frequently speaking and writing on emerging issues and presenting to growth-stage startups through 1871’s AI Innovation Lab, large media companies such as AMC, and professional audiences including the New York Bar In-House Counsel Committee and San Francisco Tech Week.
