Heba advises technology and life sciences companies on privacy, cybersecurity, PCI DSS, and other consumer protection issues, with an emphasis on behavioral advertising, data monetization, and related business practices, privacy by design in products, security and cybersecurity breach response investigation. Heba also drafts data use policies, other consumer-facing disclosures and regularly drafts and negotiates commercial agreements related to collecting, using, and sharing user data.
Heba’s practice is focused on counseling companies in privacy, advertising technology, analytics, internet of things, and cybersecurity laws and representing them in regulatory investigations before the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and self-regulatory bodies.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Heba advised on privacy and cybersecurity-related to the cloud, consumer/enterprise products and applications at a global computer security company. Her experience spans a wide range of technological fields, including managing her namesake law firm, extensive knowledge of Egyptian Law as well as international arbitration, and litigating before the superior and appellate courts. Heba has provided on-site immigration legal services to victims of war torture in the Greek Islands Detention Camps, and served as a Mock Trial scorer for the CA state final competition.
Heba is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).
