Helena is a corporate associate in the cryptocurrency and blockchain technology team at Fenwick. She provides strategic counsel primarily to blockchain and Web 3.0 companies, including cryptocurrency exchanges, DeFi platforms, and NFT marketplaces, on corporate, securities and regulatory issues.
Previously, Helena was a corporate and investment funds associate at an international law firm. Her practice consisted of advising clients on formation, registration, disclosure, and compliance of registered investment companies, as well as negotiation of complex transactions relating to alternative investments and REITs. She also assisted public companies with securities compliance, corporate governance, capital raising and domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.
While attending law school, she was a member of the Start-Up Law Initiative Clinic and a development relations representative for the Berkeley Business Law Journal. She was also a Public Law Fellow, a research assistant for the Hon. Janice Rogers Brown of the D.C. Circuit, and a student advisor to an active cryptocurrency/blockchain association in San Francisco.
