Jason represents clients in the technology and life sciences industries in intellectual property matters, including global portfolio management, US and international trademark prosecution, trademark clearance, enforcement and disputes worldwide. Jason has experience advising clients in the gaming, pharmaceutical and software industries, and is known for developing novel strategies for overcoming difficult and highly technical trademark office objections.
When Jason joined Fenwick, he brought with him five years of experience as a trademark examining attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. During his tenure, he examined thousands of trademark applications in a wide variety of industries, issued Office actions, represented the USPTO in appeals before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and was selected for a special work detail developing and improving methods of training new examining attorneys.
Before joining the USPTO, Jason worked for a trademark boutique firm in the Falls Church, Virginia area.
