Lise advises on a broad variety of technology, intellectual property and commercial matters to support clients across numerous industries, including the technology, digital media, advertising, fashion, retail, beauty, hospitality, consumer products and entertainment industries. Lise guides and represents clients with the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements involving the development, licensing, transfer, processing, hosting and distribution of their IP. Lise also advises clients on related commercial and regulatory issues, including influencer marketing, FTC endorsements, promotions, rights of privacy and publicity, and various copyright and trademark-related questions. Lise also focuses a large part of her practice on counselling clients on technology, IP and data privacy aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Lise was an associate at a leading law firm in Canada where she engaged in a broad-based IP and transactional practice focusing on domestic and cross-border transactions.
During her LL.M., Lise was a member of the Cardozo Indie Film Clinic where she provided legal assistance to independent and documentary filmmakers, assisting them with the formation of their business entities and the drafting of a wide range of documents relating to the financing, protection and distribution of their work.
