Luke is an associate in Fenwick’s Silicon Valley office. He draws on his background as an attorney, inventor, and engineer to represent clients in intellectual property matters. Luke has supported clients in a variety of ways, including intellectual property due diligence, strategic patent counseling and prosecution, trademark enforcement, and other transactional services.

During law school, Luke won first place for Best Contract in the Lorance Thompson Negotiation and Contract Drafting Competition. He also completed MBA coursework at Rice University focused on technology strategy, lending a business perspective to his legal practice.

While pursuing his MS in electrical engineering, Luke conducted applied machine learning research that resulted in published work, an international award, and patent-pending technology. He was also an embedded engineer at a major research institute, where he developed software for an electronic warfare system that won an R&D 100 award.
