Margaret represents clients in the technology and life sciences industries on intellectual property matters with a focus on technology transactions. She has experience negotiating and executing IP licensing and transfer contracts, and advising on various types of agreements.

Margaret previously served as assistant general counsel at WestEd, a leading nonprofit education research, development and services agency, where she advised on data security and privacy matters, providing risk assessments on a range of issues related to state and federal privacy laws. Before that, she was a staff attorney at Achaogen, a late-stage biopharmaceutical company.
