She advises on discovery, motion briefing, claim construction briefing, taking and defending depositions, and working with experts. Silvia has represented clients through all phases of complex patent litigation, including major pharmaceutical companies in infringement litigation arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act; a major technology company as an intervenor in Section 337 Investigation involving mobile devices; a home automation company in infringement litigation involving smart smoke and carbon monoxide detectors; and a leading technology company in infringement litigation involving various location-based and content-access features in mobile and desktop products.
