Silvia represents technology and pharmaceutical companies in a variety of litigation matters, with an emphasis on patent litigation. Silvia has represented clients through all phases of complex patent litigation, including major pharmaceutical companies in infringement litigation arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act, a major technology company as an intervenor in Section 337 Investigation involving mobile devices, a home automation company in infringement litigation involving smart smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and a leading technology company in infringement litigation involving various location-based and content-access features in mobile and desktop products. Silvia has also represented clients in various other litigation matters, including commercial litigation and consumer arbitration.
Silvia also maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on immigration and assisting clients seeking asylum.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Silvia was an associate in the IP group of a leading international law firm.
