Silvia represents technology and pharmaceutical companies in a variety of litigation matters, with an emphasis on patent litigation. Silvia has substantial experience in all phases of trial court litigation, as well as at the appellate level, and inter partes review proceedings. Her experience includes representing clients through all phases of complex patent litigation including representing major pharmaceutical companies in infringement litigation arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act, and major technology companies in infringement litigation involving mobile devices, home automation devices and various location-based and content access features in mobile and desktop products. Silvia has also represented clients in various other litigation matters, including commercial litigation and consumer arbitration. In addition to her litigation practice, Silvia also counsels clients regarding litigation threats, contractual breaches, failed collaborations, and internal investigations regarding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Silvia maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on immigration and assisting clients seeking asylum.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Silvia was an associate in the IP group of a leading international law firm.
