Zach represents technology, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), digital health and life sciences companies in a variety of complex transactions. He advises on a breadth of intellectual property, data privacy and security, regulatory and commercial matters. He also counsels clients on IP and open source aspects of venture financings, mergers and asset acquisitions. Zach is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and has received the CIPP/US certification.
Prior to his career in the law, Zach worked as a mental health professional serving combat Veterans with PTSD at the US Department of Veterans Affairs. During law school, Zach founded the Stanford Artificial Intelligence & Law Society (SAILS) and externed with the FDA’s Center for Digital Health.
