He provides strategic patent counseling and has prosecuted a number of U.S. and foreign patents in a wide range of technology areas, including virtual reality (VR), cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, cloud computing and cloud migration, IOT (Internet of Things), computer software, Internet technology, storage devices, analog, RF, and power electronics, LED, LCD, and OLED display devices, solar technology, microprocessors, semiconductors, memory devices and interfaces, high speed communication interfaces, wireless communication, virtual machines, EDA, and optics.
Jae has also litigated patent and trade secret cases in various courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission in a variety of technology areas, including wireless communication, power electronics, ASIC design, computer software, database applications, smartphones, and biometric scanners. Jae also has substantial experience in technology transactions, intellectual property audits and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, and initial public offerings, and in evaluating patents for patent licensing pools and technology standards.
Jae has been recognized as a "Rising Star" in the areas of Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Litigation by Northern California Super Lawyers in 2010 and 2011.
