Fenwick’s Bomi Lee Named One of the Most Promising New M&A Partners by The Deal

March 28, 2019

The Deal named Fenwick corporate partner Bomi Lee as one of its Rising Stars, recognizing the most promising new M&A partners of 2019.

Lee concentrates her practice on representing public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions and other complex strategic transactions, including investments, divestitures and carve-out transactions.

Her recent transactions include representing GitHub in its recent $7.5 billion acquisition by Microsoft; advising Imperva, a leading cybersecurity company, in its $2.1 billion acquisition by Thoma Bravo, and handling multiple acquisitions for Coinbase, the leading digital currency wallet and platform. Bomi also regularly represents top serial acquirer Symantec in its strategic transactions, including its recent acquisition of Luminate, along with a number of multibillion dollar deals.

“Bomi brings a level of strategic thinking and creative problem-solving to her practice that is remarkable for an attorney of her vintage,” Doug Cogen, co-chair of Fenwick’s M&A practice, told The Deal. “She drives complex multi-jurisdictional billion-dollar acquisitions and solves knotty issues in emerging areas of law such as cryptocurrency. She also has a natural way with clients, building strong relationships and internalizing and solving their business objectives.”

Lee was also named to The Recorder’s inaugural Next Generation Women Leaders in Tech Law list, which recognizes women in the first 10 years of practice who have shown promise as leaders in law and technology.
