Fenwick & West represented Augmedix, Inc., a Google Glass-powered service that frees doctors from hours of mandated charting and documentation, in its $17 million strategic round of funding. Redmile Group led the strategic round, with participation from the founding institutional investors Emergence Capital and DCM Ventures. The funding also includes investments from five leading healthcare systems from across the U.S., including: Sutter Health, Dignity Health, Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and TriHealth Inc.
Augmedix will use the funds to scale its service across health systems and private clinics nationwide.
The Fenwick transaction team was led by corporate lawyers Michael Esquivel, Malcolm Katz and Nam Kim.
