Fenwick Represents the Center for Investigative Reporting in its Merger with Mother Jones

Fenwick is representing the Center for Investigative Reporting, a provider of investigative journalism services, in its merger with Mother Jones, an independent news organization covering politics, justice, education, climate change, food and agriculture.

As a result of the merger, both organizations will become a single nonprofit news outlet. Combining forces will help the merged organization address concerns about decreased investigative reporting coverage, especially at the local level. Journalists from both organizations will work together on investigative projects that will be published across multiple platforms, including online, print, audio and video. The merger is expected to be completed early next year. More information can be obtained from the news announcement.

The Fenwick transaction team includes corporate partner Ethan Skerry, associate Brooke Longhurst and law clerk Tom Fox; and tax partner Mike Knobler and associate Matthew Dimon.
