Fenwick Elects New Partner Class

Fenwick today announced the election of six lawyers to its partnership, effective January 1, 2022.

The new partners, who are based in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Seattle and New York, are:

Marie Bafus, Litigation, San Francisco: Marie focuses her practice on representing companies, officers and directors in shareholder class actions, derivative litigation, merger and acquisition litigation, and litigation relating to initial public offerings. In addition, she regularly advises companies on responding to shareholder inspection demands under Delaware and California law. Marie also represents companies in regulatory and internal investigations into alleged accounting fraud, bribery and corruption, and whistleblower matters.

Jen Hitchcock, Corporate, Mountain View: Jen advises technology and life sciences clients on capital markets and general public company corporate matters. Jen represents companies and underwriters in a wide range of capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, direct listings and follow-on offerings in equity and debt. She also represents public companies in securities law compliance and disclosure matters and corporate governance matters.

Ryan Mitteness, Corporate, Seattle: Ryan advises life sciences and technology clients on capital markets and general corporate matters, including IPOs, reverse mergers, SPAC transactions, convertible debt, ATMs, PIPEs and other financings. Ryan also advises public companies on various securities law matters, disclosure obligations and corporate governance matters.

Jordan Roberts, Corporate, San Francisco: Jordan provides strategic counsel on a broad range of complex transactional, governance and corporate matters to serve cutting edge emerging and high-growth technology and life sciences companies throughout their entire lifecycle, including in highly regulated industries like aerospace, blockchain, digital health, fintech and transportation. Jordan also advises venture capital firms, corporate venture groups and cross-over investors in a wide variety of financing transactions.

Jonathan Sagot, Corporate, New York: Jonathan represents clients across a variety of corporate matters and complex transactions, with a focus on investments, financings and general corporate counseling. He advises tech-enabled, high-growth companies throughout their lifecycle, from their formation to series financings to exit. He also advises angel investors, venture capital firms, corporate venture funds and strategic acquirers investing in emerging growth companies.

Vigen Salmastlian, Litigation, Mountain View: Vigen represents technology and life sciences clients in complex patent litigation matters across a wide range of technology areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, wireless communication and medical devices. He also has experience with inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Office, as well as litigating trade secret, cybersecurity and antitrust matters.
