Gesa advises life sciences clients in patent matters and the management of international patent portfolios in the biotechnology and life sciences arenas. She also conducts due diligence and performs freedom-to-operate (FTO) and patentability analyses.

Gesa earned her Ph.D. from Newcastle University in England and spent nearly three years as a postdoctoral research scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She has contributed to multiple drug discovery and development projects in both academic and industry settings.
