Associate
Litigation

Greg represents technology and life sciences companies in a broad range of litigation matters, with a focus on commercial and intellectual property litigation. In addition to his litigation practice, Greg also works closely with the firm’s licensing, privacy, and M&A teams to strengthen our clients’ commercial agreements.

Greg has experience managing nearly every phase of litigation from pre-suit strategy through pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, negotiated resolution, and trial. He was part of the trial team that secured a complete defense victory in a patent investigation before the U.S. International Trade Commission, where Greg argued and won motions in limine. Greg also helped resolve a multi-year trademark opposition at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, which settled for no payment and cleared the way for our client’s trademark registrations. Greg has authored numerous briefs filed in federal courts throughout the country. He has taken and defended depositions, including Rule 30(b)(6) witnesses, senior engineers, and an opposing founder/CEO. Greg has also served as lead negotiator at JAMS and court-appointed mediations.

Greg maintains an active pro bono practice, with an emphasis on veterans’ rights cases and assisting Afghan refugees.

Prior to joining Fenwick, Greg served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Edith Brown Clement of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and for the Honorable Trevor N. McFadden of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Before his clerkships, Greg was a prosecutor and an attorney-advisor in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he tried nearly a dozen criminal jury and bench trials. He focused on complex trial work, personnel law, regulatory compliance, and cybercrimes. Greg also oversaw numerous internal investigations and congressional interests. He taught legal classes to thousands of new officers and held leadership roles as a Company Commander and Platoon Commander.
