Joel supports technology companies of all stages on patent prosecution matters.

Prior to joining Fenwick, Joel practiced at another law firm, where he drafted and prosecuted patent applications across a wide range of technology areas, including semiconductor devices and manufacturing processes, integrated circuits, memory devices, radio technologies, video games, electric vehicles, and artificial intelligence hardware and software, and managed international patent prosecution in jurisdictions spanning North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. During law school, he served as a research fellow at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law.
