Nina is a patent agent in Fenwick’s intellectual property and life sciences groups, where she helps clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors to strategically develop and manage their patent portfolios. Her practice includes application drafting, U.S. and foreign prosecution, and freedom-to-operate and patentability analysis for a wide range of life science technologies.
Nina earned her Ph.D. in chemistry from Caltech, where her graduate research focused on synthetic chemistry and spectroscopy. She was subsequently a postdoctoral researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where her research involved catalysis and analytical chemistry relating to biofuels. Her work is published in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Chemical Society and Angewandte Chemie.
