Peter advises clients on technology transactions and intellectual property matters in a wide variety of industries, with a focus on technology and digital media. His experience includes commercial agreements for emerging-growth consumer and enterprise technology companies, complex licensing and strategic collaboration arrangements, and various intellectual property issues in mergers, acquisitions, and venture capital and private equity transactions.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Peter was an associate in the technology and life sciences groups at an Am Law 100 firm. He also worked in the editorial assets and rights department for a global mass media company.
Peter has lectured at Columbia Law School and for Cornell Tech’s L.L.M. program on software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements, software licensing, and issues involving cloud software and other commercial agreements. He has frequently presented on IP basics as part of pro bono workshops for small businesses.
While in law school, Peter served as a law clerk for the Federal Communications Commission, first in the Media Bureau and later in the Office of Chairman Julius Genachowski.
