Saad concentrates his practice on intellectual property matters that support clients in technology industries. Saad has in-depth experience in navigating tough patentability issues surrounding software, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and financial technology, yielding strong patents that withstand heightened scrutiny in these spaces. Saad’s extensive patent experience also includes strategic patent portfolio management in the US and abroad, infringement analysis, reissue practice, and ex parte reexamination defense. Saad is particularly passionate about autonomous transportation and robotics, assisting clients in protecting IP relating to self-driving automobiles, warehouse robotics, and autonomous agricultural devices. Prior to entering private practice, Saad worked as a patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office and leverages inside knowledge of Patent Office function to efficiently obtain top results for his clients.
