Eva Wang focuses her practice on corporate and securities law for technology companies based in the United States and in China. She provides counsel on general corporate issues, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. Her clients include both privately held and publicly traded companies.
Eva’s deep industry knowledge, combined with her previous operational in-house experience, gives her a unique perspective that provides her clients with highly practical and relevant advice on the their most critical business and legal issues.
Eva has been involved in a number of mergers and acquisitions for both public and private companies, including recently representing Spreadtrum Communications, Inc. in its $1.78 billion acquisition by Tsinghua Unigroup Ltd. as well as the acquisition of Montage Technology Group by China Electronics Corporation for $690 million.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Eva was a partner at a large U.S. law firm. She also served as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal Affairs of Spreadtrum Communications. Her role included overseeing legal work related to Spreadtrum’s IPO, and developing and negotiating licensing and merger and acquisition agreements. She also helped to establish and oversee the implementation of corporate governance policies and equity incentive plans.
During law school, Eva was Article and Note Editor for the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy.
