Fenwick Represents Contra in $14.5 Million Series A Round

Fenwick represented Contra, a new professional network that allows anyone to work for themselves, in its $14.5 million Series A financing round led by Unusual Ventures, with participation from Cowboy Ventures and Atelier Ventures.

The financing will be used to increase the speed in which it can ship features, as well as build out an ambassador program, in which it will pay users $1,000 a month to test out the product and support the shift to independent work. More information can be obtained from this recent press profile.

The Fenwick transaction team was led by corporate partner Michael Esquivel and included counsel Jonathan Sagot, associate Shweta Kumar and law clerk Colin van Loon.
