Fenwick & West LLP represented Doctor On Demand, Inc., a service that connects consumers to a licensed U.S. physician via app on an iPhone, Android or tablet, in its recently announced $3 million seed financing. The round included Venrock, Andreessen Horowitz, Google Ventures, Lerer Ventures, Shasta Ventures and Athena Health CEO Jonathan Bush.
With the funding, the company was able to launch its service with hundreds of licensed physicians already signed up. The service is currently available in 15 U.S. states, including California and New York, for a price of $40 per video call.
The Fenwick transaction team was led by corporate partner Cindy Hess, corporate partner-elect Michael Brown and corporate associate Matt Karwoski.
