Fenwick & West represented Madison Reed, Inc., a beauty startup revolutionizing the way women color their hair, in its $51 million Series D financing. Norwest Venture Partners and True Ventures led the round, with participation from Comcast Ventures and new investor Meaningful Partners.
With the new financing, the company plans to accelerate the expansion of its omnichannel strategy by expanding its suite of hair colors, introducing new products, using television advertising as a new customer acquisition channel and building upon its reputation as a beauty innovator by unveiling new technology. The company also plans to grow the number of its Color Bar locations to 40 by the end of 2020.
