Fenwick & West represented Proofpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ: PFPT), a leading cybersecurity company, in its pending acquisition of Wombat Security Technologies, Inc., recognized by Gartner in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for security awareness computer-based training, for $225 million in cash. The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018.
The acquisition will give Proofpoint greater ability to help protect its customers from people-centric cyberattacks, and provide them with the most accurate insights into the vulnerability of real phishing attacks.
