Fenwick & West represented Shopular, Inc., a mobile product discovery app, in its acquisition by Ebates, Inc., the pioneer and leader in online cash back shopping and subsidiary of the global Internet services company Rakuten. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition will strengthen Ebates’ position in the mobile shopping category by offering shoppers relevant deals and coupons directly on their mobile phones through Shopular’s powerful, proprietary geo-targeting capability.
