Mountain View, CA (December 19, 2016)– Fenwick & West has once again earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality.
This is the eighth consecutive year in which Fenwick has received the recognition. The firm joins the ranks of 517 other major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.
“We are so honored to be recognized for the eighth straight year by the Human Rights Campaign,” Diversity & Inclusion Committee co-chair Felix Lee said. “We continue to explore innovative ways to make our firm a richly diverse and inclusive place to work.”
“At Fenwick, we actively promote an open and inclusive environment and commit significant resources to improve our firm’s diversity efforts,” said Julieta Stubrin, Director of Attorney Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion. “It’s our mission to support our lawyers and staff through a variety of programs and affinity groups.”
The 2017 CEI rated 1,043 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community. Fenwick’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria earned the firm a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
