New York, NY (May 18, 2021) – Fenwick today announced that Aman Singh is joining the firm as a capital markets partner in its New York office.
Singh brings experience advising both issuers and underwriters in connection with public and private offerings of securities and other capital markets transactions, including IPOs, investment-grade, convertible and high-yield debt offerings and tender and exchange offers.
“Our tech and life sciences clients are experiencing extraordinary growth across the board, and demand in the capital markets space is exceptionally high,” said Fenwick chair Richard Dickson. “Aman is the third partner we’ve welcomed to the capital markets group in as many months, as we position Fenwick to advise our growing roster of late-stage private companies through successful public debuts and beyond.”
“With our leading startup and VC practice, we are advising a large number of well-financed private companies considering public debuts,” said Fenwick corporate practice chair Alan Smith. “Aman’s arrival helps ensure that we can stay ahead as we advise these clients through the complexities of their options—be it a SPAC, IPO or direct listing—and on their needs as successful public companies.”
“I’m excited to join Fenwick’s capital markets team, which has a stellar reputation with technology and life sciences companies,” Singh said. “The firm’s platform and collaborative approach present enormous opportunities, and I’m looking forward to helping the New York office continue its growth and success.”
Singh has experience in issuer-side debt and equity transactions as well as underwriter-side transactions, and also regularly advises clients with respect to SEC filings and other public company matters.
Fenwick’s capital markets group is experiencing strong momentum, and Singh follows the arrival of partners Per Chilstrom and Michael Pilo in March, and the promotion of Julia Forbess to partner in January. The partners boost Fenwick’s capital markets and public companies team, which has recently advised on high-profile going-public transactions for Coinbase, Compass, AppLovin and Impel NeuroPharma, and is also advising ZipRecruiter on its pending direct listing.
Fenwick was named Capital Markets Group of the Year by Law360 in 2019 and was listed among California’s leading firms for capital markets in Chambers USA in 2020. The firm is currently ranked #1 issuer-side for public offerings in 2021 by deal value, according to Deal Point Data.
Singh joins Fenwick’s New York office, which is nearing the five-year anniversary of its opening. The office has grown quickly to nearly 100 attorneys and was listed among Crain’s 2020 Best Places to Work in New York City for the second year in a row—and was the only law firm in the top 10.
