Under the terms of the agreement, an affiliate of Platinum Equity has acquired Covad for $1.02 per share in an all-cash transaction. The transaction was initially announced on October 28, 2007 and closed on April 15, 2008. Covad, based in San Jose, CA, is a leading nationwide provider of integrated voice and data communications.
