Christopher advises major technology companies in intellectual property and commercial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and offers strategic counseling on a broad range of commercial agreements and licensing arrangements. He structures, drafts and negotiates a variety of complex transactions, including those involving joint development, technology licensing, marketing alliances and other strategic relationships, and has managed and advised clients on well over 100 buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, including numerous acquisitions of public, private and international entities by Cisco and Symantec. Christopher also has deep knowledge in open source and copyright law.

Prior to law school, Christopher was a consultant with the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, the export promotion arm of the Department of Commerce, where he performed advisory, analysis and project management assignments in support of a global, service delivery network, receiving the Vice Presidential Hammer Award for innovations in client service.

Christopher also worked as a research assistant to Philip P. Frickey, a leading scholar in the fields of statutory interpretation and legislative process.
