Margerite advises technology and life sciences clients of all stages on technology, intellectual property, and commercial matters.

Prior to joining Fenwick, Margerite was an associate in the intellectual property transactions practice at an international law firm, where she focused on intellectual property and privacy matters in the M&A and private equity space. She previously served as a legal intern at a digital media and internet company, conducting research on international privacy and advertising laws, and as a legal public policy intern at a tech policy think tank where she researched issues including Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and federal and state privacy legislation. Before law school, she held data operations and account management roles at mobile advertising and location intelligence technology companies. During law school, she served as co-president of Privacy Law at Berkeley (PrivLab), was a member of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, and was a student leader of the Reproductive Justice Student-Initiated Legal Services Project.
