Poornima practices in the area of utility patent prosecution for technology clients, with extensive experience in the areas of computer software, computer networks, computer security, social networking, computer vision, web-based systems, optical communication systems, machine learning, autonomous navigation, augmented reality, NED systems, and cloud based systems. She has experience with inventors, in-house counsel, and patent examiners, and has advised foreign counsel regarding patent prosecution at EPO, CPO, JPO, KPO, as well as IP agencies in Taiwan, Brazil, Mexico, and India.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Poornima worked at two well recognized intellectual property law firms as a patent agent, at the Universitiy of California, Davis as a research scientist, and at the University of Texas, Austin as a post-doctoral researcher.
