Li Li focuses her practice on drafting U.S. and foreign patent applications for clients primarily in computer technology and electrical engineering.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Li worked as an electrical engineer for General Electric, where she developed next-generation X-ray tubes for use in advanced medical devices. Li received the “Above & Beyond” Award every year she worked at GE.
While in law school, Li was honored with the ABA-Bloomberg BNA Award for Excellence in IP Law (twice), the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Analysis, Research & Writing, Evidence, Community Property and Remedies and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in International IP Law and Constitutional Law II. She also received the Emery Merit Scholarship and High Tech Excellence Award from Santa Clara Law. While pursuing her JD degree, she served as Lead Articles Editor for the Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal.
During her Ph.D. program, Li focused her research on electrical insulation and dielectric phenomena. She also authored ten research papers published in journals and proceedings and presented her research at five academic conferences. Li's undergraduate study was focused on Metallurgical Engineering.
