Nikki Qi’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications and intellectual property portfolio counseling across a broad range of global industries including digital and analog circuits, networking and wireless communications, semiconductor devices and fabrication, computer graphics and animation, power management and medical devices. She also represents clients in reexamination proceedings and litigation matters.
Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Nikki was an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Del Mar and Palo Alto offices of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP. Prior to attending law school, she worked as an engineer, in the power electronics industry, designing DC-DC converters and power management systems, and in the energy trading industry, modeling the electric power systems and analyzing the electric power markets.
While in law school, Nikki served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
