Wei advises on corporate and litigation management for technology and life science companies based in the United States and China. She advises on general corporate issues, venture capital financings and dispute resolution. She has substantial experience in managing complex transactions and litigation matters for Chinese companies.

Wei has over 20 years of experience representing Chinese companies in corporate and litigation matters in the U.S. Prior to joining Fenwick, Wei served as general manager of the International Legal Department with BYD Company where she managed all aspects of the company’s international legal affairs. Before her position with BYD, Wei managed a private practice for over 15 years. Her extensive experience working with Chinese companies means she understands the cultural differences between China and the U.S.

Wei was born in China and was admitted for the first college class (Class of '77) in China after the Chinese Cultural Revolution. She studied law at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco after coming to the U.S. where she received her JD.
