Fenwick Named 2023 Law Firm of the Year by Inland Counties Legal Services

Fenwick will be named Law Firm of the Year by Inland Counties Legal Services during this year’s Advocates for Justice awards—a resounding acclamation of the firm’s dedication to small business owners and entrepreneurs in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The award recognizes firms that have thoroughly integrated pro bono into their practice groups, advocated for justice in the community and gone above and beyond for ICLS clients. Over the past year Fenwick has provided legal guidance to more than 50 small-business owners in the region across a range of industries, including food, technology and professional services.

“This year’s awardees highlight the incredible impact of private attorney collaboration with legal aid advocates,” said ICLS Executive Director Tessie Solorzano. “The only way we can impact as many clients as we do is because of the generosity of people like our award winners, and we are proud to recognize them for their efforts to close the justice gap in our communities.”

ICLS is the largest civil legal aid organization in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, providing comprehensive legal services to residents with financial need, those living with disabilities and seniors in the areas of housing, education, consumer, immigration, family law, senior advocacy, health law and public benefits. The pro bono program has unique offerings such as small-business clinics, guardianship support, gender-marker name-change clinics and expungement services. The organization impacted more than 22,000 people in 2022.

“Small businesses are such important parts of our communities—not only in providing goods or services, but in uplifting the communities they serve, creating new job opportunities, and bringing people together—and it’s been a privilege to connect with so many amazing entrepreneurs through our partnership with ICLS,” said Fenwick Senior Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Pro Bono Counsel Hilarie Atkisson.

The Advocates for Justice Celebration took place on Thursday, October 12.
