David focuses on patent litigation and post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for clients in the electrical, computer, and software industries.

Prior to joining Fenwick, David was an associate at an intellectual property law firm, working on patent prosecution, litigation, inter partes review, and reexamination proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Before his legal career, David worked as a design electrical engineer on the research and development team at an international semiconductor manufacturing equipment company, where he designed heat control, robot control, and electrical safety systems for various types of equipment, including deposition, etch, and ion implantation equipment.

During law school, David was editor-in-chief of Volume 64 of IDEA: The Law Review of the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property and served as a full-time judicial intern at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit under the Honorable Judge Jimmie V. Reyna. David graduated summa cum laude from law school and was awarded the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property Award as well as the Patent Law and Practice Award.
